Some colour restoration has been done to small patches of wear in the central medallion and the previously frayed edges have been completely resewn by Yarn to bring this lovely rug back to its best self

Belgin vintage Dark blue cartouche shaped fieldA fine early 20th century kilim from Matatya in eastern Anatolia. Ivory diamond medallion within a dark blue surround and diagonal bands in the spandrels. Orange woven ends. Terracotta, brown and dark blue motids on camel field. Wavy edges, some loss to one end but overall good condition for its age. A tape to verso which allows it to be hung from a wall as a decorative piece. 175 x 96cm
